Note: John bought this KitchenAid mixer (KitchenAid KSM8990ER) with his own money, and KitchenAid (or any entity or person related to KitchenAid) did not pay John, Salma, or Conservative New Media ("CNM") to do this video, nor ask them to do this video. This is all their personal opinion only, and their true honest opinions.
My wife Salma loves to cook. Literally, in my opinion ("IMO"), she is gourmet quality. She had a birthday coming up at the time. So, trying to be a good husband IMO I wanted to get her something that she would enjoy. For a long time she had asked for a quality mixer. KitchenAid is a top established name for mixers IMO. So, after reading a lot of reviews, etc. and finding what I thought most people were getting from KitchenAid, I went a few levels above that and ended up getting the KitchenAid 8-QT commercial grade mixer for her birthday. This model KSM8990ER has a 1.3HP motor and can power through some bigger recipes. Of course, do you own diligence and decide for yourself, but I simply wanted to show you what I bought, and why. I'm not giving you any advice, I'm just telling you what I did. For me, I wanted something that was big, powerful, good looking (I love the red color) and hopefully will last. So, stepping up to that commercial grade was worth the increased price. Did it cost me some significant money, yes it did, but my wife loves it and it works great and that's what matters to me. Check out my video below where we unbox the KitchenAid 8-QT Commercial Stand Mixer and do a quick review.
